A empresa diz que revisará a decisão para definir quais serão os próximos passos a serem tomados dentro do processo. “A BHP continuará a se defender da ação no Reino Unido, a qual acreditamos ser desnecessária por duplicar questões que já são cobertas pelos trabalhos da Fundação Renova em andamento sob a supervisão do Judiciário brasileiro e por processos judiciais em curso no Brasil”, afirmou. A Fundação Renova é a entidade criada pelas mineradoras para se encarregar da reparação dos danos causados pelo rompimento da barragem.
